| Sports Programming: Labour Day Classic Games, Live on TSN and TSN HD, Monday |

TSN heads into the long weekend with live coverage of four CFL tilts – including the highly-anticipated Labour Day Classic games, as the CFL’s annual traditional rivalries go head-to-head on the gridiron. For the first time in network history, TSN will have live coverage of both Labour Day games on Monday, Sept. 1 with Edmonton @ Calgary at 4 p.m. ET (pre-game at 3:30 p.m. ET) followed by Toronto @ Hamilton at 7:30 p.m. ET. A special edition of SportsCentre will air between the match-ups.

The Berkeley Sessions, premiering September 10 at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT on Bravo!, is a new, six-episode original series spotlighting an eclectic group of singers and musicians as they entertain audiences at Toronto's Berkeley Church. Produced in association with Bravo!, the beautifully shot, weekly series features performances by indie-rock father-son duo Bill and Joel Plaskett (Sept. 10); alt-country artist Jon Langford (Sept. 17); pop singer Sarah Slean (Sept. 24); neo-southern country-gothic artist Jim White (Oct. 1); acoustic guitar virtuoso Kaki King (Oct. 8); and singer-songwriter Pete Elkas (Oct. 15).

| Programming Highlights: Earl Stevenson is Eliminated From Canadian Idol |

With only two weeks to go before Canada crowns its next Canadian Idol, host Ben Mulroney revealed live on CTV tonight this season’s Top 3. The very popular Earl Stevenson, 23, a swamper for a backhoe operator from Lloydminster, AB, was eliminated after he received the fewest of nearly four million votes cast following his performance last night of the Anne Murray cover of “Killing Me Softly” and his personal pick, “The Joker” by The Steve Miller Band. Remaining in the competition are three men representing Western, Central and Atlantic Canada.

| Production news: CTV Orders Second Season of Flashpoint |

CTV has ordered a second season of its hit original series Flashpoint from Toronto-based Pink Sky Entertainment and Avamar Entertainment. The announcement was made today by Susanne Boyce, President, Creative, Content and Channels, CTV Inc., just days after production wrapped in Toronto on this summer’s most-watched scripted series. A hit since it premiered last month, Flashpoint continues to deliver Olympian audiences, besting CBC’s coverage of the Beijing Games in both weeks of Olympic broadcasts in Toronto. A total of 13 new episodes are expected to head into production in early 2009.
