Canadian content during prime time on CBC English TV has reached a 20-year low, according to new research about what's on TV released this morning by the watchdog group Friends of Canadian Broadcasting. Only during the NHL lockout during the 2004/05 season were weekly hours of Canadian content during prime time lower than this year's survey.

The “Get Hooked” campaign includes on-air, radio, print, online, direct mail and social media elements to generate awareness of The Movie Network’s program offering and service features, including its multiplex channel HBO Canada. As part of this summer campaign, The Movie Network is also reaching out to loyal subscribers of the premium television service through a unique User Generated Content-based “Superfan” contest that lets them interact and engage with the brand.

| Ratings: CP24's Inaugural Live Coverage of Pride Toronto 2009 Reaches Almost 600,000 Viewers |

The first-ever broadcast of Toronto’s infamous Pride Parade on CP24 garnered an impressive unduplicated Total Reach of 589,000 total viewers* yesterday, Sunday, June 26. Viewers showed their support and tuned in to both the 2 p.m. live broadcast (337,000) and the encore presentation at 8 p.m. (315,000) of the Pride Parade. This year, CP24 Toronto’s Breaking News, CTV and Pride Toronto entered in to a trailblazing three year exclusive broadcast partnership to provide CP24 viewers and CP24 Radio 1050 listeners with live Pride Parade coverage.
