It was announced live on CTV tonight that JESSE and KIRSTEN would be leaving the SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA stage. Host Leah Miller revealed the bottom three couples, who then had the chance to dance for their lives. After the judges deliberated, they revealed that JESSE Weafer, 25, a Contemporary dancer from Aurora, ON and KIRSTEN Wicklund, 20, a Contemporary Ballet dancer from Vancouver, BC would be leaving the competition. Fourteen dancers are now left in the running to be named Canada’s Favourite Dancer.

Last week the Vancouver police released an internal report that faults both the Vancouver police and the RCMP for not moving quickly enough to arrest Robert “Willy” Pickton, Canada’s worst serial killer, despite compelling evidence that he could be responsible for the disappearance of more than 27 missing prostitutes. Now, we hear from Pickton himself in the Original CTV Documentary THE PIG FARM, premiering Saturday, September 11 from 9-11 p.m. ET on CTV (visit CTV.ca to confirm local broadcast times). Executive produced by Laszlo Barna, THE PIG FARM takes an in-depth look at the story of Pickton, the police who investigated him, and the many questions that remain unanswered. This Fall, CTV.ca is packed with brand-new, big buzz shows and returning favourites. Each of the series on CTV.ca will play in an enhanced 16:9 video player with improved video quality launching in sync with CTV’s Premiere Week, Monday, September 20.

CTV’s new Monday night lineup kicks off the Fall with some killer moves as the star-studded competition series DANCING WITH THE STARS returns at 8 p.m. ET, followed by mystery-comedy CASTLE at 10 p.m. ET beginning September 20 on CTV (visit CTV.ca to confirm local broadcast times). Last season, DANCING WITH THE STARS performance shows drew an average of 2.172 million viewers, making it one of the most-watched reality series in Canada. Meanwhile, CASTLE popped in its sophomore season, averaging 1.7 million viewers in May to become one of last season’s hottest shows.

Following last night’s announcement that Shelaina Anderson, 19, a Contemporary dancer from Edmonton, AB, suffered an injury during rehearsals and was unable to perform, it was revealed tonight that she has withdrawn from the competition and is therefore one of the eliminated competitors. Also eliminated tonight was her original partner HANI Abaza, 26, a Modern Contemporary dancer from Ottawa, who danced a Jazz number with last-minute substitute partner SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA Season 2 winner, Tara-Jean Popowich.

Following a cross-country audition tour that stopped in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Montreal and Halifax, the talent was too great, and for the first time in SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA history, the judges selected 11 girls and 11 guys from across the country, expanding the Top 20 to a Top 22. The dancers represent the country coast to coast from Vancouver, B.C., to Inverness, NS, and for the first time, there are competitors from Saskatchewan and New Brunswick. Specializing in everything from contemporary to hip-hop, ballroom, ballet and salsa, the Top 22 were announced during tonight’s special one-hour reveal episode, and will take to the stage for the first time tomorrow, Monday, August 23 at 9 p.m. ET on CTV (visit ctv.ca to confirm local broadcast times).
