CTV’s new Monday night comedy block delivered strong performances from 8-10 p.m. last night, with TWO AND A HALF MEN (2.3 million) winning the night overall including a timeslot win over the series premiere of THE CHICAGO CODE (Global/FOX, 1.5 million). Meanwhile, out of simulcast at 8 p.m., the series premiere of MR. SUNSHINE (1.4 million) provided strong competition for HOUSE (Global/FOX, 2 million).

| Programming Highlights: CTV Gets the Conversation Started About Mental Illness in Support of Bell Let’s Talk Day on Feb. 9 |

CTV announced today a slate of special programming on Wednesday, Feb. 9 in support of Bell Let’s Talk Day, an initiative dedicated to encouraging a national conversation about mental health in Canada in order to eliminate the stigma attached to mental illness. CTV’s family of properties, including CTV, CP24, TSN, MuchMusic and MTV, present a day of original programming focusing on mental health. Bell Let’s Talk Day at CTV features candid interviews with Olympian Clara Hughes, Margaret Trudeau and TSN’s Michael Landsberg, expert commentary and advice, and first-hand accounts from Canadians of all ages.

The hit CTV Original Series THE LISTENER is back with a spellbinding second season, Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET, beginning Feb. 8 on CTV (visit CTV.ca to confirm local broadcast times). The much-anticipated new season of THE LISTENER takes over FLASHPOINT’s Tuesday night time-slot following its post-SUPER BOWL XLV season finale Feb. 6. Canada’s own Lauren Lee Smith (CSI) and Tara Spencer-Nairn (CORNER GAS) join the new season of the fast-paced, one-hour drama that sees paramedic Toby Logan (Craig Olejnik, The Timekeeper) further embrace his telepathic powers to help solve criminal investigations. New episodes of THE LISTENER will be made available on demand the day following their television broadcast on the CTV Video Player at CTV.ca. CTV announced today that it has inked a deal with Sony Pictures Television to acquire the new big buzz comedy MAD LOVE for its #1 Monday night comedy block. Premiering appropriately on Valentine’s Day in simulcast with CBS, Monday, February 14 at 8:30 p.m. ET, MAD LOVE follows a twenty-something couple in love and their cynical best friends who despise each other. The series will be paired Mondays with the much-anticipated new comedy MR. SUNSHINE (8 p.m. ET, beginning Feb. 7) starring Matthew Perry and Allison Janney, also from Sony Pictures Television (visit CTV.ca to confirm local broadcast times and complete series descriptions).

A decade after he got his start on the network, superstar recording artist Drake is coming home to CTV as host of THE 2011 JUNO AWARDS, ETALK revealed tonight. The announcement from CTV and The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) was made just hours before Drake was nominated for four 2011 Grammy Awards®. The Toronto native returns to his hometown to host the 40th Anniversary of Canada’s Music Awards, and CTV’s 10th Anniversary broadcast, airing live from the Air Canada Centre on Sunday, March 27, 2011. Tickets for THE 2011 JUNO AWARDS broadcast go on sale Saturday, February 5, 2011 through all Ticketmaster outlets.

CTV unwrapped its holiday programming lineup today, featuring a variety of festive specials, Christmas classics, jolly stunt programming, and more. The announcement comes just days after the network’s unprecedented coverage of THE SANTA CLAUS PARADE and features two feel good favourites that join CTV’s holiday schedule for the first time: Disney’s ONE MAGIC CHRISTMAS, premiering Sunday, Dec. 19 at 7 p.m. ET; followed by UNCLE BUCK at 9 p.m. ET. Viewers can also spend Christmas Day (Dec. 25) with everyone’s favourite green ogre, as CTV presents its inaugural SHREK-A-THON, featuring the first three blockbuster hits airing back-to-back, beginning at 12 p.m. ET. Then, CTV rings in the New Year with the North American broadcast premiere of the hilarious comedy, KNOCKED UP (Dec. 31 at 11:30 p.m. ET), starring Katherine Heigl and Canada’s own Seth Rogan.
