The Grey Cup has a new home on TSN. In a joint announcement today, TSN and RDS, together with the Canadian Football League (CFL), revealed details of a new 5-year broadcast partnership (plus a one-year option), making TSN and RDS the home of the Grey Cup, divisional playoffs and all regular-season games. The landmark agreement begins in 2008 and delivers an exclusive all-encompassing suite of broadcast and digital rights in Canada, in both English and French. All told, it's the most comprehensive rights package ever secured by either TSN or RDS for a single sports property.

Continuing its leadership in sports television, TSN once again is on the cutting edge of hockey broadcasting becoming the first network ever to provide both play-by-play and analysis from ice level for an NHL game. The landmark broadcast takes place tomorrow (Friday, Dec.1) at 7:30 p.m. ET featuring NY Rangers @ Sabres from HSBC Arena in Buffalo, with Chris Cuthbert and Glenn Healy calling the action from between the benches.

Coming off one of its most successful NHL campaigns which saw regular season audiences increase by 48 per cent last year*, TSN heads into the 2006/07 NHL season with a 70-game national broadcast package that includes three all-Canadian match-ups, 33 games featuring Canadian teams, 35 games in High Definition, an opening-night doubleheader, and the return of the weekly staple Wednesday Night Hockey.
