After experiencing a Fall 2011 season that clearly established Global as one of Canada’s leading networks, Global is set to do it all over again in 2012 with the announcement of its midseason lineup. With an already impressive roster of established hit programs returning, Global will add even more viewing clout to its schedule with the addition of several compelling dramas. This includes the much buzzed about local production of The Firm, based on the 1991 best-selling novel by world-renowned author John Grisham, the ground-breaking Canadian original Bomb Girls, the masterful Bones spin-off The Finder, and Touch featuring the highly anticipated return to TV by Kiefer Sutherland.

In preparation for the launch of Toronto’s first morning news show on conventional TV in years, Global Toronto announced details of its campaign for The Morning Show. The multi-layered plan takes advantage of the full spectrum of available media in the GTA and included a full morning of street activities that took place on launch day, Tuesday, October 11th .The four week long initiative is designed to emphasize the unique format of The Morning Show, and the return of Liza Fromer, the much loved Toronto TV personality.

Fans returned in droves for the much anticipated season premiere of House on Global. With over 2.8 million viewers tuning in, House was catapulted to the #1 spot of the night, both 2+ and for the key Adults 18-49 demo. It was a stellar Monday primetime for the network all around as NCIS and Hawaii Five-0 edged out all their competitors and won their time slots with 1.8 million and 1.9 million viewers (Ind. 2+, national), respectively.

Global wins round two of premiere week with NCIS: LA and Glee grabbing primetime’s top two spots of the night nationally. NCIS: LA wins the night with 2.1 million viewers (2+, national), up 20% more viewers from its two-hour season 2 premiere last fall. Pop culture phenomenon Glee wins its timeslot nationally with 2 million gleeks (2+, national), also winning the night nationally and in the metered markets in the key advertising demo (Adults 18-49).

| Programming Highlights: Global Edmonton Expands Weekend Morning News |

Global Edmonton announced today that its comprehensive morning news coverage is expanding to seven days a week to provide Edmonton viewers with even more details on what’s happening in and around their city as well as around the world. Beginning September 11th, Global Edmonton will launch Sunday Morning News, airing from 8am until 10am. That same weekend, the Saturday Morning News will start airing from 7am until 10am, expanding this already popular newscast by one hour with a new earlier start time.
