TSN and TSN2 hit the gridiron this holiday season with live coverage of 18 NCAA Bowl games including the FEDEX BCS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP on Thursday, Jan. 8 at 7:30 p.m. ET on TSN featuring the last two Heisman Trophy winners going head-to-head on college football's biggest stage. Nine of the 18 games are available exclusively in Canada on TSN2, including the ALLSTATE SUGAR BOWL and the TOSTITOS FIESTA BOWL.

TSN will officially name the Top Sports Story of 2008 during its popular year-end feature SPORTSCENTRE: YEAR IN REVIEW on Christmas Eve, December 24 at 7 p.m. ET.

He’s 5’10” and 195 lbs., shoots left and has honed his wrist shot playing recreation hockey for the past eight years. Now, the only thing separating 56-year-old electrician Rick Abbott of Quesnel, B.C. from a cool million dollars on New Year’s Eve is scoring 15 goals in 24 seconds as this year’s participant in TSN’s third annual, international award-winning million-dollar giveaway, the Chevrolet Traverse Million Dollar Shootout. As part of the contest, Rick will also have the chance to win up to four new Chevrolet Traverse Crossovers for himself, his two shooters, and a randomly selected World Juniors tournament attendee.

TSN is giving hockey fans an early look at some of their favourite teams with live NHL pre-season action. All six Canadian NHL clubs will be featured on TSN and TSN2 this pre-season with a total five live games available on the networks. TSN will have live coverage of four games, and one game will be available live exclusively on TSN2.

TSN heads into the long weekend with live coverage of four CFL tilts – including the highly-anticipated Labour Day Classic games, as the CFL’s annual traditional rivalries go head-to-head on the gridiron. For the first time in network history, TSN will have live coverage of both Labour Day games on Monday, Sept. 1 with Edmonton @ Calgary at 4 p.m. ET (pre-game at 3:30 p.m. ET) followed by Toronto @ Hamilton at 7:30 p.m. ET. A special edition of SportsCentre will air between the match-ups.
