| Programming Highlights: 'A' Gets LOST as Mid-Season Schedule Announced |

Hot on the heels of a successful and competitive fall season, ‘A’ continues to deliver one of Canada’s strongest conventional schedules with eagerly-awaited premieres and highly-anticipated returns. Among the exciting additions to A’s programming slate is the Season 5 premiere of LOST, new to ‘A’ Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET beginning January 21, and Season 5 of MEDIUM beginning on Mondays at 10 p.m. ET beginning February 2. The 19th season of LAW & ORDER joins the ‘A’ schedule Wednesday nights in January following LOST to deliver a one-two punch of can’t-miss programming. In addition, breakout fall hit THE MENTALIST returns with new episodes on a new date and time, beginning Tuesday, January 6 at 9 p.m. ET while PRIVATE PRACTICE moves to Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET beginning Jan. 8, both in simulcast (visit Atv.ca to confirm local broadcast times). | Ratings: 'A’ Surpasses E! and Citytv to Get Top Marks in Fall Report Card |

Six weeks into the Fall television season, ‘A’ is now attracting more viewers than E! and Citytv. Nationally and in Vancouver, ‘A’ leads E! and Citytv among both key demos. In Toronto, ‘A’ leads Citytv and competes aggressively with E!, now tying E! among A18-49. The new network has seen dramatic growth in double and even triple digits at the expense of E! and Citytv, both nationally and in the metered markets.

| Ratings: Fringe Gains Momentum on ‘A’ |

Fringe continues to put ‘A’ at the front of the line: the must-see drama from J.J. Abrams scored 808,000 viewers last night, up double digits in all three key demos since last week and besting Global’s 90210 among A25-54 in both Toronto and Vancouver. Since delivering the largest audience for a new series premiere this fall, Fringe continues to gain momentum, cementing the exciting – and darkly humorous – series as appointment television for Canadian viewers. Fringe is the #1 new series on ‘A’ and the second most-watched series overall on the hot new network following Two and a Half Men.

| Ratings: Fringe Bests 90210, Sets New Benchmark for ‘A’ |

Fringe audiences continue to be out of this world. Coming off a #1 super-simulcast debut, last Tuesday, J.J. Abrams’ must-see thriller delivered 819,000 viewers last night, peaking at 905,000 viewers. The second, gripping episode of this fall’s most-watched new series triumphed over 90210 (Global; 790,000) in its time-slot and won the 9 p.m. hour in Toronto and Vancouver. Among A25-54 and A18-49, Fringe was the #2 program of the night behind House in Toronto and Vancouver.*

| 'A' New Beginning: Fresh New Look for 'A' Unveiled Today |

Parent company CTV unveiled today a fresh new look for its group of channels formerly known as A-Channel. Beginning today, A-Channel will be known simply as ‘A’. The name change is reflected in a sleek, new single-letter logo and a new on-air presence that premieres tonight at 6 p.m. The updated re-branding initiative reflects the network’s bold new direction and attitude, and is designed to complement a fall primetime schedule designed to compete as one of the best conventional grids out there. Promos reflecting the new look will begin airing today on ‘A’ in support of the premiere of the most-anticipated new television programs of the fall, including Fringe, The Mentalist and Eleventh Hour.

On the heels of an astounding 16 Primetime Emmy Award nominations – and continued critical acclaim – Mad Men’s much-anticipated second season comes to “A” on Sundays at 10 p.m. ET/PT beginning July 27 (visit achannel.ca to confirm local broadcast times), and on ASN at 11 p.m. AT. Originally scheduled to premiere on “A” this Fall, the whirlwind of attention fuelled by both critics and fans fast-tracked the Season 2 launch for viewers in Canada. It was also announced today that each episode of Season 2 will be available on demand on The CTV Video Player at CTV.ca following its television broadcast debut.

Family Feud goes Hollywood with an all-new celebrity edition of the classic game show, premiering Tuesday, June 24 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on "A". Hosted by Al Roker, Celebrity Family Feud is a star-studded version of the beloved game show, only this time 24 famous families will face off and throw down for the charity of their choice. Former TV Queen Kathy-Lee Gifford goes head-to-head with Dog the Bounty Hunter, the casts of My Name is Earl and The Office fight for first place and Deion Sanders tries to keep up with the Kardashians.

Slap on the sunglasses, break out the sunscreen and get set for some red-hot reality TV along with encores of viewer favourites. A-Channel announced its 2008 summer schedule today, led by last summer's #2 Hit Series, America's Got Talent, premiering Tuesday, June 17 at 9 p.m. ET. Also making their debuts this summer on A-Channel are the addictive reality series Dance Machine (June 27), Celebrity Family Feud (July 1) and Wanna Bet? (July 21). In addition, viewers will not have to go into "McDreamy" withdrawal during their summer holidays as series such as Grey's Anatomy (May 29), Two and a Half Men (May 26), Law & Order (May 28) and Desperate Housewives (June 1) bulk up A-Channel's summer lineup.
